community thriving.” he says via FFI’s official website
“We believe that supplying a high-quality component should be
our number one priority and that close enough is indeed, not good enough.” Ash - Owner at FFI
So, what exactly are we selling? Glad you asked!
Revolve4x4 is now selling M57 conversion parts for Nissan Patrols, the M57 is a renowned BMW Common-rail diesel engine, known for its reliability and high powered, low-end torque.
the M57 has become quite popular among the Aussie 4x4 community in the past 3 years, and FFI is at the forefront of development in Australia.
About the engine;
The M57 engine is a 3 litre six-cylinder turbo diesel engineIt went through two major revisions during its production. The first versions had a cast iron block, while later versions used aluminium. Different types of injectors were used depending on the engine version, with earlier models utilising solenoid injectors and later ones using Piezo technology.
Each cylinder has two inlet and two exhaust valves, operated by two overhead camshafts. The engine redlines at 4750 rpm, with peak torque as low as 1800rpm! Now that’s impressive.
these engines produce 150-210kW (150-286hp) and 390-580Nm from factory, and have been modified to over 800hp!
These engines are typically paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, manufactured by ZF. Proving strong and reliable for conversions.
About the Conversion
Utilising a CNC Machined adaptor, the M57 is easily coupled with the standard patrol transfer case, thus making the conversion much easier than most others.
But that’s not all! FFI have developed a variety of bolt in and DIY parts that can make the conversion process much easier and faster, with bolt in engine mounts, plug ’n’ play wiring and much more.
Light, efficient and powerful, these engines are capable of handling high output and heavy loads, making them a great choice for a 4wd vehicle.
